Mestor was an illegitimate son of King Priam of Troy.

Mestor was a championed fighter of Troy, and fought bravely in the Trojan War, even receiving the praise of his father. At the end of the war, he was taken captive by Neoptolemus, who later dressed up in Mestor's Phrygian clothes to deceive Acastus.
